              Dynamic Balancing

Why Balance? Having your equipment, rotors, armatures, shafts, pulleys, fans, blowers, gears etc. balanced will:

1) Reduce vibration
2) Reduce energy consumption
3) Increase machine life
4) Extend time between repairs
5) Improve productivity

An integral part of our company's operation is it's ability to offer a comprehensive balancing service for rotating equipment, guaranteed to ISO1940 standard, or to customer specification. Our modern in-house facilities can balance equipment varying in weight from 100 grams to 6 tonne. Much larger equipment can also be balanced on site. We provide a seven day service as required.

Dynamic Balancing is the answer to one of today's most important engineering problems.

With todays high operating speeds, even small amounts of imbalance can cause dangerous vibration often resulting in mechanical failure and expensive down time.

An unbalanced rotating part may appear to be quite harmless at rest, yet under the influence of centrifugal forces giving rise to vibration, this same rotating part can become highly dangerous.

If you require a mandrel or special fixture for balancing, our engineers can design and fabricate whatever is necessary to ensure the highest accuracy in dynamic balancing of your equipment.

As Motor and Armature winders, we are aware of the delicate nature of Armature and Rotor windings. Therefore we exercise great care when fitting or replacing balance weights etc.

We also offer an on site balancing service, an engineer will balance your equipment at your premises using our portable equipment.

This service effectively costs less because the machine does not need to be dismantled

Since in-place balancing is performed under normal operating conditions, the final results are not affected by re-assembly or loading.

To summarise Imbalance is the most common cause of rotating machinery vibration and causes much of the mechanical wear. The forces and resultant vibration caused by inadequately balanced rotors destroy bearings and seals, damage foundations, transmit noise and increase your maintenance costs.
