In November 1998 Gouk & Sullivan were asked by Tasman Pulp & Paper Co Ltd. to set up a workshop in Kawerau to service and maintain all the electric motors on their site. The challenge was accepted and by early January 1999 a workshop had been set up on the site at Tasman Pulp & Paper Co. and staff recruited from within the area. Within a month this new team were up to speed and turning out a top quality product. Gouk & Sullivan (BOP) Ltd offer all the same services as the Auckland Company plus the servicing and testing of medium and high voltage switchgear.

Eight years on and the staff numbers at eleven, the company has expanded into another larger workshop with more machinery and test equipment and an extended customer list.
